At April 14th 2016, there were a series of earthquakes, including a magnitude 7.0.
Many people were effected from this earthquake and caused severe damage in Kumamoto and Ōita Prefectures, with numerous structures collapsing and catching fire. More than 44,000 people were evacuated from their homes due to the disaster.
It has been 5 years from that day, and it is important for us to remember and learn from their experiences to stay safe at any times.
If you have noticed, there has been small earthquakes during midnight and early mornings even at Nagoya. It's wasn't that concerning, but what if it was bigger? What can you do?
Make sure to check your storage if you have enough supplies to survive such as food and water. We also want to tell you that it is important to know where to evacuate after a large earthquake hits your area.
We want to spread awareness especially in this country with earthquakes happening everyday.
Kumamoto will continue to press on, towards creative restoration.
Thank you!
