Eco friendly project ideas

Hello,

Were here to share you some exciting crafting ideas you can try at home! Just starting from one can always help our environment.

1. Using un-paper towels as a replacement for regular paper towels.

This is a great way to start saving up plastic waste from the wrapping of the paper towels. Because of covid, switching to handkerchiefs or towels can be hard but starting from your household would be awesome!

2. Making easy reusable grocery bags from old t-shirts.

This grocery tote project is so incredibly easy. Beginning sewers, you can absolutely do this one! And all you need is an old t-shirt, a pair of scissors, and a sewing machine. You can make a single strap tote or a two strap bag. Either way, you’re helping to replace single use plastic grocery bags.

3. Bringing a DIY utensil wrap on the go to help replace single use plastics, like straws and plastic silverware.

Load a DIY utensil wrap up with a reusable straw and reusable utensils and you’re ready for anything. Toss it in your bag or bring it everywhere and you’ll never be without a reusable option when you’re hanging out! You can also buy reusable straws! They look fashionable and cool! Try to order without plastic spoons and forks too!

4. Make your own basic bird feeder

Using pine cones, twine, nut butter, and birdseed. This video from the Feminist Bird Club shows you one way to do it. This does not require extra plastic waste and its giving a little help to the birds around us.

We will be sharing more in the future, but thats all for now!

Thank you 😊
